3D animation software company Swoove Studios has realised $7.5 million in a seed funding round led by European angel investors.
This brings the studios’ total funds raised to $11 million since 2020, and it kicks off a strategic review that will see them scale across Europe and launch in the US.
The Belgium-based company aims to empower users to bring their stories to life using Swoove, its AI-powered platform, to create 3D animations by offering tools that cater to beginners and expert creators.
Creating new opportunities
Game developers could also utilise Swoove to create 3D animations to produce animated assets that might enhance storytelling in games or create game characters and environments.
After launching in the US, the company also introduced its Swoove marketplace where user-generated digital assets, such as clothes, can be bought and sold.
“We are thrilled to announce the completion of our latest funding round, and now plan to implement exciting updates to give users more of what they are asking for,” said Swoove Studios CEO and co-founder Rudy Verbeeck.
“This includes building opportunities for monetisation and allowing further integration with other services for new brand and platform partnerships.”
