The Motorola One 5G UW is not typically Verizon’s most affordable 5G-enabled smartphone, fetching $549.99 compared to the $399.99 retail price of the TCL 10 5G UW, but if you’re quick (and willing to meet one straightforward condition), the nation’s largest wireless service provider will knock a full $549.99 off the 6.7-incher’s MSRP.

All you need to do is open a new line on an unlimited plan with your choice of monthly installments or a good old fashioned outright purchase. Either way, Big Red will give you your 550 bucks back in the form of bill credits applied to your account over a period of two years, which means you’ll essentially end up paying… $0 for a Snapdragon 765 mid-ranger capable of tapping into both Verizon’s blazing fast 5G Ultra Wideband network and its recently released “nationwide” low-band 5G signal.
You only have until Sunday to take advantage of this phenomenal online-exclusive deal, mind you, and incredibly enough, you can even combine that already massive $550 discount with an additional savings of up to $240 when trading in an eligible phone. In that case, Verizon is basically paying you to get the Motorola One 5G UW off its hands, not to mention port-in customers can also score a free Stream TV device on top of everything else.
Compared to the aforementioned TCL 10 5G UW, as well as the slightly newer Motorola One 5G Ace, which isn’t sold by Verizon with 5G Ultra Wideband support just yet, the One 5G UW is a little more impressive from a photography standpoint, thanks to a quad rear-facing camera system consisting of a 48MP main snapper, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro shooter, and 2MP depth sensor.

The 5,000mAh battery is no pushover either, even though it only supports 15W wired fast charging, while the reasonably generous 128 gigs of internal storage space is coupled with a fairly modest 4GB RAM count. 

Running Android 10 on the software side of things, at least for the time being, the Motorola One 5G UW also sports a smooth 90Hz IPS LCD screen with a decent but not exactly stunning resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels, as well as a double hole punch housing two front-facing cameras, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, microSD card slot, and headphone jack.

All in all, this thing is probably not what we’d consider a must-buy at $549.99, but at $0, it might just be the best way to try out Verizon’s 5G speeds without breaking the bank right now.
