In a major announcement at Google’s I/O 2021 event, Google and Samsung are partnering for a massive revamp of the WearOS mobile platform. What we’re looking at is Tizen and Google combining forces to make for a faster, smarter, and more responsive wearables experience.
What this means overall is greater battery life for devices, faster app startup and performance, and an intuitive springboard for third-party developers to create apps for Android’s wearable lineup. We can expect the latest Galaxy Smart Watch to run on this new and improved system, as well as future FitBit devices.
Check back later for more updates as they happen.
