The high prices for PC graphics cards are already absurd. So why not go all out, and spend five grand on one? Chinese vendor Colorful has created the lamborghinis of PC graphics cards with a souped-up Nvidia RTX 3090 GPU that’ll retail for $4,999.
The product, dubbed the GeForce RTX 3090 Kudan, has been designed with an assortment of premium features that no one really needs. For example, the GPU features both a triple-fan system and an attachable all-in-one liquid cooler.
The hybrid-cooling solution promises to help you overclock the RTX 3090 Kudan to a 1860MHz boost speed, higher than the normal 1,695MHz boost speed.
Colorful also outfitted the product with a 60Hz LCD display, which can show real-time stats on the GPU for monitoring purposes. The same display can be flipped at 90 degrees, making it visible whether you mount the card horizontally or vertically in your desktop rig.
The card itself features an aluminum alloy shroud and backplate. To give the Kudan a premium look, Colorful added gold accents and gears on the casing, and described the styling as “fit for a king.”
“The RTX 3090 Kudan also has customizable RGB lighting on the shroud’s visible side and backplate,” the company added. “The radiator’s RGB lighting is powered by Modern Light Technology with a mirror-like surface that gives a sophisticated infinity lighting effect,” whatever that means.
Colorful hasn’t said how it will sell the graphics card. But the company only plans to produce 1,000 units, each of which will be packed inside a “luxurious and durable suitcase.”
