T-Mobile is giving Magenta and Magenta MAX subscribers a full year of Apple TV+ for free.
As of Aug. 25, new and existing T-Mobile customers (as well as those on Sprint’s Unlimited Plus and Premium plans) can tune into Apple’s ad-free streaming service without paying the $4.99 monthly fee. Magenta, Magenta MAX, and small T-Mobile for Business customers can log into the T-Mobile app or my.t-mobile.com to redeem the offer. Sprint Unlimited Plus and Premium customers, meanwhile, can login to promotions.t-mobile.com and enter the promo code 2021APPLETVP1.
Current or previous Apple TV+ subscribers can still get 12 months of free streaming without losing access to past history and saved purchases by simply using your Apple ID. After redeeming the T-Mobile promotion, your paid Apple TV+ subscription will pause and this offer will take over. Regular Apple billing resumes after 365 days. Don’t forget to end your free trial after one year, though, or you’ll automatically be charged $4.99 a month.
T-Mobile already gives away Netflix plans to many of its subscribers, including Magenta, One, and One Plus plans with two or more paid lines. For an additional $2-a-month Premium upcharge, users can watch HDR content.
According to CNET, customers have until July 31, 2022 to claim the gratis perk—limited to one redemption per T-Mobile account. Users can cancel their Apple TV+ subscription at any time. The promotion comes just days after T-Mobile confirmed the personal information of approximately 7.8 million current, former, and prospective customers was stolen from its systems in a recent hack.
