Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the upcoming game by Rocksteady Studios in development for PC and consoles, will feature strong depictions of violence mostly tinged with dark humor, according to Singapore’s IMDA.
As spotted today on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority recently rated the upcoming game, giving it an M18 rating for strong violence. The rating summary confirms Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature strong depictions of violence tinged with dark humor, such as scenes implying a character’s finger getting cut off, a blade impaled in the neck, a heart being ripped out, and more. Judging from this new information, it seems like members of the Justice League will not have it easy in the game at all.
It has been some time since we have seen anything regarding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but the wait is almost over. The upcoming game by Rocksteady Studios will be among the titles featured in today’s State of Play event, which will also provide new information on five new PS VR2 titles, indie and third-party reveals, and more.
Earlier this year, we did get an unofficial look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with a leaked screenshot that seemingly confirmed GaaS mechanics such as a Battle Pass, in-game store, and more. According to reliable sources, however, the multiple currencies are used to unlock additional skills, and all the content locked behind the Battle Pass will purely be cosmetic. Rocksteady Studios did not comment on the leaked screenshot, but it is likely we will learn more about these mechanics later today.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide on May 26th. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
