The pre-patch for World of Warcraft: The War Within has just been released, and players are eagerly putting their Warbands together and starting the prerequisite quests before the expansion’s release in August. One of these quests is titled “Visions of Azeroth.” However, it is causing a bit of a stir about how you are meant to access this questline.
The questline is now officially available as of July 30 in North America and July 31 in Europe. It will be available to players until August 26, the day of which The War Within releases. This guide will walk you through everything you need to do to access the “Visions of Azeroth” questline.
How To Begin Visions of Azeroth Questline
First and foremost, you need to be playing a character that is level 70. Additionally, you must have completed the Dragonflight questline before you are given the introductory quest for this storyline to kick it all off.
This quest line will take you to some of the most iconic places in Azeroth, including Silithus, Dalaran, and Searing Gorge. Once you reach these areas, you’ll be able to participate in events that give you pieces of the lore if you aren’t already familiar with what happened in World of Warcraft.
To participate in the events, head to Dalaran. There, you will find a specific area where you can find all the event portals you need to travel through to complete this questline.
You can take three portals, and all have different events corresponding to the area boss. They are the following:
- Duskwallow Marsh (Onyxia)
- Searing Gorge (Ragnaros)
- Dragonblight (Lich King)
By participating in these events, you’ll be able to collect a currency called Residual Memories. This currency helps you net rewards by participating, and can also help you purchase gear for members of your Warband.
Each event within the Visions of Azeroth questline lasts 30 minutes, and you’ll be able to check which event is active by looking at the portals available in Dalaran.
The Radiant Echoes event allows players to gear up to item level 480 and earn bigger bags, mounts, pets, and much more throughout the event. If you need to upgrade your character or boost their item level, the Radiant Echoes event is the perfect way to get started.
That’s all you need to know about how to participate in the Visions of Azeroth event in World of Warcraft.
