Non-profit platform for gamers PlanetPlay has formed an advisory board that’ll work closely with its leadership team to support the games industry.
This new advisory board will guide the leadership team in enhancing strategic direction, driving innovation, and ensuring the success of PlanetPlay’s mission to use video games to positively impact the environment.
The advisory board includes respected figures from the video games, technology, and environmental sectors such as Niantic CEO John Hanke, Project Everyone CEO Gail Gallie, Lockwood Publishing CEO Halli Bjornsson, Google’s head of partnerships Tamzin Taylor, House of Lords’ environmental campaigner Baroness Bryony Worthington and entrepreneur Gi Fernando MBE.
Creating a positive environmental impact
“We are delighted to announce the first members of our Advisory Board, and grateful that such respected and influential individuals are now working with PlanetPlay in our collective mission to utilise the power of gaming to tackle our planet’s environmental challenge,” said PlanetPlay CEO Rhea Loucas.

PlanetPlay’s expanding “Make Green Tuesday Moves” (MGTM) initiative empowers players to positively impact the environment. The not-for-profit platform is also a key research partner for the UN Development Programme (UNDP).
