New ways to learn
NEOM’s gaming manager Maxim de Wit took to LinkedIn to make the announcement where he describes the Game Dev challenge as “a platform for high school students to learn, design, develop and launch their own fully fledged mobile games.”
After 40 teams of students and teachers (four students plus one teacher per entry) join the program from each city, 10 teams will advance to a 60-day challenge to develop a mobile game, with the top two teams in each city winning a 40,000 SAR ($11,000) Game Lab for their school.
Maysalward recently collaborated with Minecraft Education to host the first-ever Minecraft Teachers Training workshop at their Jordan Gaming Lab.
The Jordan Gaming Lab which has been at the forefront of the games industry, recently celebrated 13 years of fostering creativity and innovation in the region.
