Archero and Survivor.io publisher Habby has soft-launched its latest title, idle RPG Capybara Go.
The game is described as a text-based roguelike adventure RPG, starring the titular capybara.
The title sees players deck out the titular capybara with new skills, form alliances with other animal companions and adventure across the game’s world combating enemies through randomised events.
Capybara Go is available across the App Store and Google Play in Australia, Canada, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Hybridcasual hit maker
Habby is one of the world’s most successful hybridcasual publishers, coining the term with its first hit game Archero.
AppMagic estimates the company has generated $1.18 billion in gross revenue ($826.4m net) from player spending to date. That figure does not include revenue made from ads, a key element of how its games monetise.
Archero is estimated to have accumulated $359.1m to date from player spending, while Survivor.io is said to have racked up $628.4m.
We recently added Capybara Go to our big list of top mobile games in soft launch, which you can check out here.
Hypercasual and hybridcasual are a big theme of the upcoming Top 50 Game Makers 2024 list – which will be unveiled at Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki (October 1st and 2nd). Want to see the reveal in person? Grab your ticket here.
