In einer Rundmail informiert der IT-Dienstleister Sybit seine Kunden aktuell über eine Datenschutzverletzung. Demnach wurde das E-Mail-Konto eines Mitarbeiters durch eine Phishing-Attacke gehackt und weitere Phishing-Mails in dessen Namen verschickt. Wie das Unternehmen mit Hauptsitz im baden-württembergischen Radolfzell mitteilt, konnten die Angreifer dadurch auch personenbezogene Daten wie E-Mail-Adressen und vollständige Namen einsehen.
Vor diesem Hintergrund warnt der IT-Dienstleister seine Kunden: “Sofern Sie mit der Phishing-E-Mail interagiert und personenbezogene Daten preisgegeben haben, besteht die Gefahr eines Betrugs sowie mögliche weitere Maßnahmen, die seitens der Angreifer mit Ihren Daten vorgenommen werden können.”
Der Zugriff auf das E-Mail-Postfach sei umgehend gesperrt worden, versichert das Unternehmen. Zudem seien der Datenschutzbeauftragte und die zuständige Datenschutzbehörde über den Vorfall informiert worden.
