Unity’s Supersonic has released a new AI-powered Game Idea Generator tool for developers.
The tool merges AI with Supersonic’s “industry knowledge and best practices” and is designed to help speed up the prototyping phase of development.
The generator creates new ideas and helps refine existing concepts to provide the initial building blocks for development, including initial code.
AI-powered ideation
Features include the ability to create detailed game descriptions, such as narrative themes and story outlines. It also supports the development of gameplay systems to engage players, strategies for monetisation and revenue optimisation, and ideas for game creatives.
Supersonic said it uses data from in-house experts and also utilises public resources “to generate new ideas and refine existing concepts”.
“The Game Idea Generator reflects Supersonic’s commitment to advancing game development through technology and industry insights,” said Supersonic’s senior director of gaming Danielle Cohen.
“Our goal with the Game Idea Generator is to take our knowledge of what games, including their mechanics, controls, gameplay, themes and other details, are currently relevant, and to support developers as they take their unique visions and quickly turn them into relevant prototypes.”
