Digital Dunes is a new mobile games company operating under Media City Qatar to bolster the region’s video games industry.
The new company aims to leverage Qatar’s infrastructure and regulatory framework to nurture an ecosystem “where creativity and technology intersect.”
With over 12 years of experience publishing games in the MENA region and across the globe, Digital Dunes says it will bring Arabic content and culture to the world through its projects.
“This commitment ensures that our games resonate deeply with local audiences while sharing the rich cultural heritage of the Arab world with the global gaming community,” wrote the company in a LinkedIn post.
Ambitious objectives
“We are excited to launch Digital Dunes, our mission is to create outstanding gaming experiences, nurture talent in the MENA region, and elevate the gaming landscape,” said Digital Dunes CEO Mohammed Fahmi.
“By building global partnerships and providing our games to the MENA region and the world, we are confident that our presence in the supportive Qatari environment will benefit us to achieve our ambitious objectives and significantly impact the global gaming industry.”
Qatar has focused on economic diversification and technological progress after establishing Media City Qatar in 2019. The launch of Digital Dunes within MCQ aligns with the country’s strategic objectives to attract international investment and foster growth in these sectors.
