Supercell has launched a new Clash of Clans true crime-inspired podcast.
“Together with our Supercell partners, we created the first in-game true crime story: a four-episode podcast that follows the mystery of who stole the hammer in the village, inviting the community to share their theories to help recover the hammer and save Hammer Jam.” Said David New York CCO André Toledo.
Fans are encouraged to follow the investigation and share their theories when episodes drop across multiple platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
Engaging the community
Various suspects, including goblins, hog riders, barbarians, and even the builder, are under suspicion.
“Since Sunday, the campaign has gathered over 3 million organic views and listens and has generated thousands of conspiracy theories on social media.” Said Toledo.
The podcast will also feature a special guest appearance from Dr. Leslie Dobson, an expert forensic psychologist who will analyse motives and suspects to help solve the case in time.
Earlier this year, Supercell explored other ways to engage with the community and introduce new aspects to the game, with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland becoming its first real-world person to become a playable character.
