Unity has tapped Jarrod Yahes as its new SVP, chief financial officer.
His appointment is effective from January 1st, 2025. Jarrod joined Unity from Shutterstock, where he served as CFO for five years.
Before his stint at Shutterstock, Jarrod also served as CFO at marketing tech company Zeta Global and Jackson Hewitt Tax Services and in multiple capacities at ExlService Holdings, including SVP, global controller, and SVP, treasurer.
Solidifying its leadership
“We are thrilled to welcome Jarrod to Unity. His blend of operational rigour and growth orientation will be instrumental for Unity’s next stage,” said Unity CEO and president Matt Bromberg.
“We’ve now solidified the leadership team that will drive Unity towards greater operational discipline, accelerated product innovation, and deeper relationships with our customers and the community.”
Jarrod added: “Unity has established itself as the only global platform that supports developers across the entire lifecycle of making, marketing, and monetising games and interactive experiences.”
“I’m so excited to join Matt and the team to support Unity’s mission. Unity is a special company with a unique place in the ecosystem.”
A new direction
Jarrod’s appointment as SVP and CFO comes as Unity continues to shake up its leadership team. After naming Matt Bromberg as president and CEO earlier this year, this week the company also recruited ex-King CTO and Havok co-founder Steve Collins as its new chief technology officer. He replaced the previous chief product and technology officer, Marc Whitten.
The executive changes come after a turbulent year for Unity, which dealt with the fallout from the now-abandoned Runtime Fee.
