UK-based multimedia company OV Entertainment Group has made a number of key hires and promotions as the company continues to expand and looks to secure new projects.
Carlos Estigarribia has been promoted from head of business development at Kokku to VP of client relations, where he will manage client relationships and seek new business opportunities for Kokku and The OGS.
Mea Nilimaa has been promoted to head of business development at Kokku, following Estigarribia’s transition to a new role. She will focus on expanding the studio’s client portfolio and strengthening its reputation in the games industry.
JF Carrier, formerly head of art at Kokku, has been appointed senior client partner, while Marina Maranhão has joined the firm as general counsel, bringing expertise in corporate law, deal negotiations, contract review, and compliance.
OV Entertainment said that the restructuring aligns the company’s operations with a unified, project-based revenue model, where contributions and revenue are shared across all involved companies rather than being isolated to individual entities.
A centralised approach
“Our goal is to empower our companies by leveraging what we do best: solid processes, finances, structure, and business development,” said OV Entertainment’s CEO Thiago de Freitas. “To ensure an optimal experience for our valued partners, we strive to eliminate the need for them to interact with multiple business developers across our talented teams.
“This centralised approach not only relieves our dedicated business development teams at Kokku and The Original Gangsters, allowing them to focus on nurturing new relationships, but also enhances communication and client focus.”
VP of client relations Carlos Estigarribia added: “What we want to accomplish is to make these companies collaborate but also grow independently, so there will be a custom strategy for each of them, making sure our partners and clients can benefit from the best of each company inside OV Entertainment.”
