Today, THQ Nordic has released the first making-of video for the highly anticipated Gothic 1 Remake. The video has the title “Chapter 1: The Essence of Gothic” and provides a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Gothic and how Alkimia Interactive is working to reimagine the cult classic. For the first chapter of these dev diaries, the video goes into depth about the creative process behind the remake, where you’ll get to see how the team decides to balance making a faithful remake but also making sure that the game is playable for a modern audience. This includes updating graphics and music and also keeping the story in line with what a modern audience would want.
