A new Alan Wake 2 update went live today, introducing new accessibility options, PS5 Pro support, Xbox Series S improvement, and more.
The October 22nd update is meant to celebrate the game’s first anniversary by introducing new features and improvements even for those who have not purchased the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Lake House expansion, also released today. Among the biggest changes introduced in the update are new accessibility options, which include infinite ammo and batteries, immortality, options to change button holds into taps, and more.
The new Alan Wake 2 Anniversary Update also adds, as already mentioned, PS5 Pro support, optional support for Motion Sensor controls with a DualSense controller on PC and PlayStation 5, refined and additional haptics, and an increased internal render resolution on Xbox Series X, from 1280×720 to 1505×847. In the beginning, it seemed like the update also added VRR support on Xbox consoles, but the current patch notes do not mention it anymore so it’s not clear if this has been indeed added or not.
Alan Wake 2 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about one of the best survival horror games released in the past few years by checking out my review.
