A new Alan Wake II patch is now live on PC and consoles, introducing a new Chapter Select feature and tons of other improvements, including performance enhancements on all formats.
Patch 1.0.15, the game’s first patch of 2024, introduces a handy way to replay completed story chapters with the Chapter Select feature, making it much easier to track down all of the collectibles hidden in the main campaign’s many locations.
Alongside the new feature, the new Alan Wake II patch brings gameplay and mission fixes and improvements, a general visual polish, and performance enhancements on all formats. On PlayStation 5, stuttering issues happening while perfect dodging have been fixed and UI rendering has been optimized, resulting in smoother performance. On PC, changing the graphics settings is now snappier, shadow map rendering has been optimized, alongside lighting and texture memory usage. Remedy Entertainment also added preview images for most tweakable settings in the graphics menu. Full patch notes can be found on the game’s official website.
Alan Wake II is now out on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Learn more about one of the best games released last year by checking out my review.
