Amazon’s personal shopping service has expanded to include men’s fashion.
The $4.99-per-month service, Personal Shopper by Prime Wardrobe, is now available for Prime members, TechCrunch reports.
Here’s how it works: Every month, an Amazon stylist selects items from thousands of brands based on a customer’s style and preferred fit, and then Amazon ships the items to the customer to try on at home. Anything the customer doesn’t like can be sent back in the resealable package it came in, with the prepaid shipping label provided.
There are hundreds of thousands of men’s styles offered within the service, with brands like Adidas, Lacoste, and Levi’s, in addition to Amazon’s in-house labels.
As TechCrunch notes, Stitch Fix is a main competitor in this space, and it works a little differently. Instead of a flat monthly rate ($4.99), Stitch Fix charges a $20 stylist fee, which later goes to any items you choose to keep. Stitch Fix also keeps the contents of the box a surprise, while the Personal Shopper service reveals the stylist’s picks ahead of time. You then choose up to eight items to be shipped to you.
Personal Shopper is only available in the US, on mobile devices.
