- iPhone 12 names and specs leak: We are relatively certain that the iPhone 12 series will launch in the Fall, but we are still unsure of some details. However, some leaked info from Display Supply Chain Consultants sheds some possible light on the names of the four phones in the series as well as the basic specs. Check out all the info below:

- iPhone 12 series might skip wired headphones: Every single iPhone sold since the original has come with a set of wired headphones in the box. That might change this year, though, as rumors suggest Apple could ditch including headphones in an effort to push users to grab wireless AirPods instead. Apple could possibly offer promotional deals for iPhone buyers to further encourage them to buy AirPods.
- AirPods Studio reportedly entered production: Speaking of Apple-branded headphones, the expected over-ear AirPods Studio headphones reportedly entered the production phase. It’s very possible we will see these launch this summer or alongside the iPhone 12 series at the very latest.
- All signs point to the end of the original HomePod: Apple’s late entry into the smart speaker market — the HomePod — might be on the way out. Best Buy is selling them for a song and Apple employees can allegedly buy 10 of them at 50% off. This likely means the smaller, upgraded HomePod is right around the corner.
- Dubious rumors related to Apple’s AR glasses emerge: According to some new rumors, the Apple AR glasses could be called Apple Glass, which is laughable. We don’t think this rumor is true at all, but we figured we’d throw it out there. The idea of Apple co-opting Glass from Google — especially with the negative connotations prevalent with that product — is unlikely to be true.
- Judge approves $500 million Apple payment for batterygate: Apple agreed to pay $500 million to settle a lawsuit related to batterygate — the intentional processing slowdown of older iPhones in an effort to lengthen battery life. Now, a judge has approved the idea.
- FBI unlocks iPhones in a criminal case: The FBI has repeatedly criticized Apple for the company’s refusal to help the government organization unlock encrypted iPhones to help prosecute criminals. However, the FBI recently admitted it unlocked the iPhone of the perpetrator of a mass shooting at a Naval Air Station in Florida last December. It did this without Apple’s help.
- Older shows might be coming to Apple TV Plus: In an effort to bolster its collection, Apple might start buying older television shows to bring them to its premium streaming service. Apple has so far avoided bringing any unoriginal content to Apple TV Plus, but it might need to in order to compete with Netflix, Disney Plus, etc.
