If you bought an Apple device late last year, your free year of Apple TV+ was supposed to expire soon. But now, you have a few more months to decide whether you want to subscribe: Apple is extending free trials through February 2021.
The offer applies to those who started a free year of Apple TV+ between Nov. 1, 2019 and Jan. 31, 2020, 9to5Mac reports. If you’re on a TV+ monthly or yearly plan between November and January, Apple will apply a $4.99-per-month credit to your account, which can be used to purchase anything from the iTunes or App Stores or for any Apple service.
Yearly subscribers to Apple TV+ who renew their plans between November and January will receive the extension to February at no additional cost.
PCMag’s review of Apple TV+ found that while it offers an inexpensive option for streaming, it lacked a robust original content library. “Apple TV+ is impressive from a technical standpoint, but its current library of original content is not competitive with that of top-tier video streaming services,” we wrote, giving the service a rating of 3 out of 5.
