Because this very powerful device is more than a year old and many of the best tablets money can buy right now are deeply discounted for Black Friday, you probably expected to see the fourth-gen 11-incher score an important price cut of its own well ahead of Thanksgiving.
For some reason, that never happened, but for what it’s worth, the aforementioned variant is at the time of this writing marked down by a decent $100 from a $1,099 list price on Amazon. Does that qualify as a magical holiday deal? Not even close.
But if you’re not tempted by the multiple truly outstanding Surface Pro 9 promotions happening right now and you’re intent on remaining devoted to the world’s number one tablet vendor rather than trying out Microsoft’s unique Windows productivity proposition, this is most likely the best ultra-high-end “bargain” you can find this Black Friday.
If history (and common sense) is any indication, Amazon could well run out of inventory here very quickly, so if you’re sure you don’t need the extra screen real estate and extra mini-LED quality of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2022), you should absolutely hurry up and place your order before it’s too late. A purchase today obviously guarantees nationwide shipping long before Christmas, with the estimates at the time of this writing ranging from December 6 to December 14… but very likely to slip away in the next few hours.
