Technology company X&Immersion, which provides tools for video game studios to help support the development of text, voice and animation, has raised over €1 million in funding.
Funding was led by business angels and Clint Capital, with support from other key players in French innovation.
The investment is the latest milestone for the company, which aims to grow internationally and introduce a new AI content creation platform tailored to production teams.
X&Immersion has created artificial intelligence tools, such as creating non-playable characters with AI-driven behaviours, the ability to automate tasks related to game design and development for speed and ease, and tools that help with voice and lip-sync automation.
New possibilities
X&Immersion shared on LinkedIn: “For the past three years, we have been dedicated to creating tools, plug-ins and providing top-tier AI tech engineering and consultancy for the gaming industry.
“We very much thank our investors, as well as the people who supported us throughout the fund-raising process.”
Artificial Intelligence continues to spark one of the biggest trends this year. AI startup Echo Chunk recently raised $1.4 million in a pre-seed round and released its first game, Echo Chess.
Grand Games, consisting of former Zen Match developers, also raised $3 million in pre-seed funding, with the team already releasing two games, which attribute the timely releases down to the usefulness of AI.
