The upcoming Astro Bot for PS5 from Team Asobi will receive three different editions, and pre-orders kick off today.
After several rumors, Sony and Team Asobi officially announced a new Astro game for PS5 last week. Alongside the announcement, we also received an action-packed trailer for the title featuring PlayStation cameos and references aplenty. On the official PlayStation Blog, developer Team Asobi has now detailed the three different editions of the game, including the physical standard edition, the digital standard edition, and the digital deluxe edition – all of which will come with the following content for those who pre-order:
- The Astro Lovestruck Lyricist outfit
- The Glorious Graffiti Dual Speeder paint color
- 2 Astro Avatars
Aside from the content mentioned above, the standard physical edition of the game will come with a physical insert poster. Those who purchase the digital standard edition will have to do with this poster. We’ve included a sneak peek of the poster below:
As for the Digital Deluxe Edition of Astro Bot, additional content is included:
- Astro’s Yharnam Tourist outfit
- Astro’s Golden outfit
- The Neon Dream Dual Speeder paint color
- The Champion’s Gold Dual Speeder paint color
- The official Soundtrack and Digital Art Gallery
- 10 Astro Avatars
The developer mentions that the outfits and the Dual Speeder paint colors will become available while playing as players unlock their respective buildings on the crash site.
Astro Bot is launching on September 6 for PlayStation 5. We’ve included some additional details alongside last week’s announcement trailer below:
“In this brand-new game, you will explore 6 galaxies and over 80 levels in search of Astro’s scattered crew. Hold on tight to your Dual Speeder and dive down to each unique planet, from lush forests, sandy beaches, hot volcanoes to more surprising locations such as a gigantic hourglass or the canopy of a singing tree!
To get help on his mission, Astro can use over 15 new abilities offering unique play styles. As you would expect from an Astro game, these take full advantage of the DualSense controller, its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers so you can feel every little step along the journey.”
