Still on the hunt for a PS5 or an Xbox Series X for Christmas? Good news: Best Buy is receiving new stock, which it plans on selling tomorrow, Dec. 15.
The units will go on sale “sometime after” 9 a.m. EST/6 a.m. PST, the company wrote in a blog post today. However, you’ll only be able to buy the product online through Bestbuy.com or through the retailer’s mobile app.
The other caveat is how successful orders won’t be delivered to customer homes. Buyers will have to go to their local Best Buy store to pick up the console.
The announcement might offer some relief to customers still struggling to buy the next-generation video game consoles. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S remain out of stock at all the major retailers.
Desperate consumers can still find plenty of units available on eBay from scalpers who managed to snag some of the stock. But you’ll have to pay two or three times the normal price.
If you strike out during tomorrow’s restock at Best Buy, there’s still hope. We recommend trying a free inventory-checking service, which can immediately alert you about other PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks across all the major retailers. The real-time alerts should give you an edge, although you’ll still have to act fast to secure the order.
During tomorrow’s restock, Best Buy is also kicking off a three-day sale “featuring thousands of deals” on products, including laptops, TVs, and headphones. Products offered can also be delivered to customer homes or retrieved via curbside pickup.
