Since the arrival of the iPhone SE in April 2020 Apple has introduced four new iPhones. The best news is that when Apple introduced the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max in October it also reduced the price of the iPhone SE – at least in the UK – the iPhone SE now starts at £399, rather than £419. It still costs $399 in the US. If you’d like to buy an iPhone 12 read our best iPhone 12 deals article, we also have an iPhone 12 news round-up.
Alongside the four phones in the iPhone 12 series Apple’s also still selling the iPhone 11 (we have a round up of best iPhone 11 deals too). It’s probably the most iPhones Apple has ever sold at one time in fact.

How much does the iPhone SE cost?
First up: cost. Apple’s most affordable iPhone now starts at £399/US$399 (it was originally £419 in the UK). You can get it for £269/US$259 if you trade in your old qualifying phone. It’s available in a few different configurations:
- iPhone SE (2020, 64GB): £399/$399/AUD$529
- iPhone SE (2020, 128GB): £449/$449/AUD$829
- iPhone SE (2020, 256GB): £549/$549/AUD$999
The phones are available in white, black and (Product)Red.
As with all iPhone purchases now, you get a year of Apple TV+ included for free.
In terms of design, it’s closer to the iPhone 8, which means it isn’t quite as small as the 4in original iPhone SE, which was discontinued in 2018. The handset is a similar size to the iPhone 12 mini, but with a much larger screen.
With the iPhone SE you get a 4.7in display with a 12Mp rear-facing camera and 7Mp front-facing camera, all powered by an A13 Bionic processor. You also get IP67 water and dust resistance. If you want to get into the nitty-gritties, here’s our review of the iPhone SE.
