Apple has a refreshed line of MacBook Pros, Mac Minis, and All-in-One iMacs out this Friday, November 8, and if you’re looking to grab one of these devices, preorders are available for most configurations at Amazon and Best Buy. You can even save on your preorder at Best Buy with the retailer’s paid rewards program.

The updated collection of 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros are equipped with Apple’s M4 processors, RAM has been beefed up considerably, and they come equipped with Thunderbolt 5 ports for lightning-fast data transfers.
The M4 chips are the marquee feature here, as Apple says that they provide dramatically faster multithreaded performance. These will be available in entry-level and high-end models, with pricing starting at $1,599 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro and $2,499 for the 16-inch model. For anyone looking for serious performance, Apple will offer M4 Pro and M4 Max MacBooks, making these ideal partners for creative professionals looking to use high-level programs on them.
Meanwhile, the new Mac Mini lives up to its name by being a downright tiny desktop PC. Small enough to fit in your hand, it’s also equipped with Apple’s latest M4 chip, a wide array of ports, and it’s available with a heavy-duty M4 Pro chip. Pricing for the Mac Mini starts at $599 for the base model with an M4 chip and scales to $1,399 for the M4 Pro model. If you want a display with your new desktop Apple computer, All-in-One M4 iMacs with 24-inch displays start at $1,299 and come bundled with Apple’s Magic Keyboard and Mouse.
The M4 model now supports up to 32GB of memory, while the M4 Pro version supports up to 64GB. You will need a display to hook up to these PCs, but they do offer support for up to three monitors. If you’re looking to just have one high-resolution display, the M4 Mac Mini can handle an 8K 60Hz display or a 4K 250Hz display, while the M4 Pro Mac Mini can run up to three 6K displays at 60Hz.
If you want one of Apple’s gorgeous Retina displays with your new M4-powered desktop computer, All-in-One M4 iMacs with 24-inch displays start at $1,299 and come bundled with Apple’s wireless Magic Keyboard and Mouse combo. These are only available with the standard M4 chip, and the base model has an 8-core chipset, whereas the entry-level models for the MacBook Pro and Mac Mini include 10-core chipsets. The 10-core M4 iMac starts at $1,499.
If you’re buying one of Apple’s new devices, you should consider signing up for My Best Buy Plus or Total. The Plus membership only costs $50/year, and since the minimum preorder discount for members is $50, you’re getting the membership for free (at minimum). The $50 discount applies to all four Mac Minis and the M4 MacBook Pros.
And if you’re planning on upgrading to the M4 Pro or M4 Max, Best Buy is actually paying you. The M4 Pro MacBooks are $100 off for members, while the M4 Max models are $150 off. So even with the cost of the membership, you’re saving $50 overall on the M4 Pro and $100 on the M4 Max configuration. All iMac preorders are at least $75 off, so you’re saving on your preorder and getting a 12-month membership that will probably come in handy in a few weeks when Black Friday is in full swing. You can save even more if you have an eligible device to trade in.

If you’re on a budget, the good news is that you can get older Apple hardware at a reduced price whenever new tech goes on sale. While the newer hardware is undoubtedly more powerful, that doesn’t mean that the older stuff should be ignored. For example, the M3 MacBook Air still offers an impressive amount of power and performance inside of a sleek design that you can easily carry around, while several iPad models increase the portability factor even further and can be paired with an Apple keyboard as well.
Even several of the recently released iPad Pro tablets are on sale, and these workhorse devices also come equipped with an M4 chip that allows them to handle high-intensity apps and use minimal power, so they function really well as creative workstations. The 11-inch iPad Pro with 256GB of storage is on sale for $899 (was $999) and the 13-inch iPad Pro with 2TB of storage has been discounted from $2,299 to $2,099. On average, you can expect to save up to $200 on select models.
