Grand Theft Auto V once again tops the list of best-selling digital PlayStation 5 games in January. Other PlayStation Store top contenders in the US and Canada include Dead Space, FIFA 23, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Of course, GTAV is one of the highest selling games ever, remaining a significant seller over three console generations. It’s not surprising that it took top spot almost ten years after its release, but the game’s lasting power is still remarkable. EA Motive’s Dead Space Remake took the number two position, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, NBA 2K23, and FIFA 23 round out the top five.
As for new releases, Forspoken landed at number seven on the PS5 chart. Monster Hunter Rise released on PlayStation 4 and 5 during this month and took a respectable position in the PS5 charts, landing at number 9.
On PS4, Minecraft is at the top of the list, followed by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Survival Horror game The Forest ranked number four on the chart, with FIFA 23 at number five.
None of the month’s best-sellers in January are particularly surprising, but they do represent a smattering of games both old and new. The full rankings for both North America and the EU are below.
