Blizzard has just dropped the “big” Diablo 4 patch 1.0.3 across all platforms, packing class and aspect buffs.
We already speculated that a major update would be released anytime soon, and following today’s extended maintenance, the Diablo 4 development team rolled out the new update. Blizzard has been suffering from DDoS attacks since last weekend, and hopefully, the login issues have now been resolved.
Today’s update packs numerous buffs to classes and aspects, increasing base as well as core skill damage. In addition, this brand-new update includes various fixes for dungeons, events, activities, local co-op, quests, and the user interface as well as gameplay adjustments and gameplay fixes. As the full patch notes are quite extensive, we suggest reading them in full at Blizzard’s official forums here.
“We’re continuing our efforts to make all Class builds feel fun and powerful with another round of balance updates”, the development team explains. “In particular, we have seen community feedback stating that Basic Skills aren’t impactful enough in combat. These changes will not change the fundamental relationship between Basic Skills and Core Skills, but we hope that they help smooth out the leveling experience while we explore additional ways to strengthen them. We are also increasing the power of some Skills that players feel are lagging behind their peers. As we look forward to future updates, we’re monitoring other heavily discussed topics, such as Minion survivability and build parity. Please keep sending us your feedback, and we’ll see you in Sanctuary!”
Diablo 4 is available worldwide now for PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The game was launched earlier this month and has already managed to become Blizzard’s fastest-selling game to date (going by pre-order sales), and harvested over $666 million in revenue in only five days. Impressive numbers for sure.
