Ex-JetSynthesis Gaming CEO Anuj Tandon has joined early-stage investment firm Bitkraft Ventures as a partner.
He will focus on investing in innovative Indian games and interactive media companies, particularly in AI, games tech, and content to help Bitkraft establish its presence in India’s fast-growing market.
With over 15 years of experience as a entrepreneur, executive, and investor in India, he previously led Krafton’s investments in the country and wider MENA region, while also playing a key role in setting up Yoozoo Games in the region
Prior to joining Bitkraft, he served as the CEO of Gaming at JetSynthesys, where he managed the company’s games assets.
Bitkraft’s strategic expansion
“India’s economy is seeing explosive growth with a growing middle class that has disposable income, making it competitively positioned globally to grow in gaming and interactive media,” said Tandon.
“I am honoured to have the opportunity to bring one of the biggest global gaming investors to India to support innovative entrepreneurs in their early stages. Bitkraft’s global network and experience are extensive and will immensely help the budding ecosystem.”
Bitkraft founding general partner Jens Hilgers added: “We have made several investments in India already, but our ambition is to increase our activity and capital deployment in the country visibly going forward.”
“This is where Anuj’s experience and network in the Indian games and entertainment industry is crucial to us and our ability to identify and partner with the most outstanding entrepreneurs in India.
“It is more than just having a person on the ground; it is the deep understanding of the market, the actors, the local preferences and dynamics from people to design and product to financing.”
