The shadPS4 PlayStation 4 emulator continues to improve at a steady pace, enhancing Bloodborne’s emulation considerably.
As shown in a new video shared on X by @Khalid2c7u, on the late version of the emulator, the PlayStation 4 exclusive’s load times have been reduced to a few seconds on an SSD, which is a massive improvement over the long load times on native hardware.

Besides improving load times considerably, the latest version of the shadPS4 emulator also brought some other enhancements, although there are still plenty of known issues left to fix, such as huge RAM and VRAM consumption. A nice overview of the game’s emulation progress and issue has been provided in the video below, courtesy of BrutalSam. You can also check out how the emulator handles the Ludwig boss fight from The Old Hunters DLC at 1440p resolution below.
Besides improving Bloodborne’s emulation, the latest version of the shadPS4 emulator is making more console exclusives playable on PC, such as Vanillaware’s Dragon’s Crown Pro, as shown in a video shared by Jaquan Butler. As reported on the emulator’s Discord server, the latest version of the emulator is also capable of getting in-game in Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is a massive accomplishment for a game that has only just been released.
