The title is available on PC and consoles, but has yet to come to mobile platforms. According to a new store listing, as per AppMagic, a mobile title has been “officially authorised” by developer Dodge Roll and publisher Devolver Digital to release in China.
The China mobile version will be published by X.D. Network, which has previously helped other Western titles such as Human: Fall Flat release in the country.
Enter the Gungeon for mobile has a release data set for August 31st 2024, according to its listing. PocketGamer.biz is reaching out for confirmation and comment.
Two-Gungeoneer action
Keeping the same gameplay elements of the original title, the mobile version also includes two-player online coop action.
According to data released in 2020, Enter the Gungeon had sold more than three million copies across all available platforms at the time.
Its success also spawned spinoff Exit the Gungeon, this time set in a “series of increasingly dangerous elevators”. That title launched first on iOS devices through Apple Arcade on September 19th, 2019, before launching on PC and consoles the following year.
