Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases on April 28, and with the game’s release coming up soon, we’ve learned a lot about what to expect from the Star Wars title–but not everything. A very important piece of news has been confirmed for Jedi: Survivor, and that is whether or not players can pet the Bogling. Thankfully for fans, the Bogling can, indeed, be pet in Respawn’s new Star Wars title.
The PlayStation UK Twitter account confirmed this extremely important piece of information and shared a video of said petting in action. As you can see, main character Cal Kestis crouches down and scruffs the creature’s fur, eliciting a playful and happy sound from the little critter.
A Bogling is a tunneling creature native to the planet Bogano. The Bogling made its Star Wars universe debut in 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and while players could make a Bogling their companion in that game, the petting feature appears to be new for the sequel.

Jedi: Survivor releases April 28 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC (which requires 155GB of free space). For the PS5 version of the game, Respawn has implemented some interesting haptic feedback ideas through the DualSense controller, which game director Stig Asmussen says adds a new level of nuanced gameplay to the experience.
“Survivor sets up some intriguing ideas and teases some potentially interesting character dynamics in its second chapter,” Jordan Ramée wrote in GameSpot’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor preview. “Unfortunately, I was less impressed by a lot of what I can actually talk about and more by what I can’t, but the sequel to one of my favorite Star Wars games is shaping up nicely.”
