Popular card roguelike game Balatro is heading to mobile devices later this month.
The game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account shared that the deck-building game will be available on Android and iOS on Tuesday, September 26th 2024.
For iOS users, Balatro will be included in the Apple Arcade subscription on the game’s release date. The game’s publisher Playstack also released an announcement trailer to mark the game coming to mobile.
Playable anytime, anywhere
Balatro combines poker rules with a roguelike structure that allows players to hit high scores and progress while using Joker cards to gain an advantage.
The game has been incredibly popular on Steam, but it appears the team has moved quickly to ensure they capture the mobile market before any similar games could potentially capture the same audience.
This morning Balatro hit a momentous milestone…

Balatro first launched in February and faced controversy over its poker theme being linked to gambling, as noted by its solo developer, LocalThunk, in a Reddit AMA. Despite this, the game sold a million copies in its first month.
