Samsung started the Galaxy Z Fold 2 Android 11 rollout about 10 days ago, but the update was only available in select European countries. Fortunately, US customers didn’t have to wait too long for the update to jump the pond.
Verizon was the first carrier in the US to provide Galaxy Z Fold 2 users with the highly-anticipated Android 11 update a few days ago. Today, AT&T pick up the torch and continued the deployment of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 Android 11 update to its own customers.
The only important difference between the two updates is that Verizon’s update comes with the December security patch, while AT&T’s update is newer and packs January’s security patch. Both updates feature One UI 3.0 along with all the major new features and improvements brought by Android 11.
There’s also the matter of size, so make sure that you have a few GB of free storage available. AT&T’s update weighs in at 2.3GB, whereas Verizon hasn’t mentioned the size of its Galaxy Z Fold 2 Android 11 update, but expect to be just as huge.
