South Africa-based game publisher and payment provider Carry1st has partnered with Stellar Gate Games to grow Blood Strike MENA.
Carry1st said it will work alongside Stellar Gate Games to help drive the growth of the gaming ecosystem across MENA. It is also expanding its payment solutions to the MENA region with its Pay1st platform to allow players to make purchases using local methods.
Steller Gate Games was formed by Sandsoft and NetEase Games in March 2024 to conduct game publishing, marketing, live operations and esports activities in the MENA region.
NetEase first released Blood Strike in March 2023 as a fast-paced first-person shooter battle royale game. It went on to garner over 50 million downloads worldwide by August 2024. Blood Strike MENA was later launched in November 2024.
Simplifying payment in MENA
“Partnering with Stellar Gate Games is a key step in our mission to make gaming accessible to players everywhere,” said Carry1st chief operating officer Lucy Hoffman. “We are excited to bring our payment solutions to select countries in the MENA region, helping deliver localised content and create a seamless gaming experience for players across the region.”
Stellar Gate Games CEO Steve Zhang added: “We are excited to join forces with Carry1st to expand Blood Strike’s reach in MENA. The company’s deep understanding of local markets and payment solutions will ensure a smooth experience for players in the region.
“Carry1st’s expertise in local payment methods and their innovation in unlocking access to games makes them an ideal partner. This collaboration will make it easier for players to engage with and enjoy our games.”
