New details on the Control multiplayer spin-off game Condor were shared by developer Remedy Entertainment with a new infographic.
The infographic, which was shared in the studio’s latest investor report, provides some additional information on the game’s lore, revealing how the Oldest House is under lockdown, and trapped within it is the last vestige of the Federal Bureau of Control, who will attempt to take back control of the Oldest House from the supernatural forces dwelling within. Not much else is revealed about the game in the infographic, other than that the game was in the production readiness state at the end of 2023, the same state as the Max Payne 1&2 remake is in. As Control 2 is in the proof-of-concept stage, it seems Condor will be the next game to bring fans back to the Remedy Connected Universe.
The studio’s Connected Universe’s story was moved along last year by Alan Wake II, which featured plenty of callbacks to Control. The latest game by the studio is among the best survival horror games released in recent times, as I highlighted in my review.
With its excellent trippy horror story, memorable characters, amazing atmosphere, and some of the best visuals in gaming to date, Alan Wake II is a game like few others and Remedy Entertainment’s best. It took 13 years for the acclaimed writer to come back, but the long wait was worth it. We could have hardly wished for a better sequel, despite the derivative survival horror gameplay holding the experience back a bit.
