Indie publisher Curve Games and No Brakes Games have partnered with Unity to launch the Human Fall Flat University Level Design Challenge in 138 universities across China.
The challenge will not only present students with the opportunity to showcase their creativity but also offer a grand prize of $10,000. In addition, students will gain real-world game design experience, with participants invited to design new levels for the Human Fall Flat franchise, which has become increasingly popular in China.
Students using Unity must submit themed levels for Human Fall Flat before December 31, 2024. The winner will receive the prize funds and collaborate with developers on an official release.
While runners-up will gain career resources, Unity China and Yahaha will also offer additional prizes and support.
Empowering younger generations
“We have always believed in the younger generation as a driving force of future development for the gaming industry,” said Unity CEO Junbo Zhang.
“Partnering with Curve Games provides a platform for aspiring students to showcase their creativity and talents, empowering them to continually grow on their journeys as our future game makers.”
Human Fall Flat creator Tomas Sakalauskas added: “This competition is a great way for aspiring game designers to showcase their skills, and we’re excited to partner with Unity China to give even more students the chance to join the fun.”
