A new Dark Souls short tribute video made in Unreal Engine 5 was shared online a few days ago, making us hunger for an official remake of the now-classic action role-playing game even more.
The tribute, which was created by Adam Plechaty, uses the latest version of the engine by Epic to recreate the Bonfire Lit scene, complete with Lumen, making the Firelink Shrine look as it never did before. More information can be found on the artist’s ArtStation page.
While Dark Souls was remastered a few years back, it has yet to be remade, and it seems like there are currently no plans for such a game, as FromSoftware is hard at work on Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon as well as on the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. As the very first entry in the series, Demon’s Souls, was remade for PlayStation 5, however, there’s the chance that the Japanese developer will eventually go back to the series that made them one of the most acclaimed development studios ever.
The original Dark Souls was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The remaster is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. You can learn more about the game by checking out our review.
