The Devcom Developer Conference 2024 has revealed a new wave of speakers for the show.
Headlining the latest speaker announcements were Larian Studios cinematic director Jason Latino, SIE Santa Monica Studio game director Mihir Sheth, Larian Studios senior writer Adrienne Law, ZA/UM lead writer Helen Hindpere, former WB Games Montreal VP and studio head Stéphane Roy, and NARC Limited game designer Thorolfur Beck Kristjonsson.
Other speakers include Meghna Jayanth, whose credits include Sable and Horizon: Zero Dawn, Sarah Makdad, who has worked on projects including A Plague Tale: Innocence and World War Z, IO Interactive’s Sasha Ciolac and Bert Zierfuss, and CD Projekt’s Moritz Lehr.
Mobile talks
There will be a few mobile-related sessions at the show, including SuperGaming’s Rakshit Thakur hosting a session entitled ‘Bringing a Large-Scale World to Life on Mobile’ and Atomhawk Advance’s Anett Jaschk’s talk on ‘Games at Your Fingertips – Challenges of Mobile UI/UX Design’.
The event takes place in Cologne ahead of Gamescom from August 18th to 20th. A networking dinner will take place on August 18th, while talks will kick off from August 19th. Organisers are aiming to bring in more than 250 speakers to the show across 200 sessions and 15 stages.
This year’s event will take a hybrid approach, with all sessions, exhibitions, participant profiles, and matchmaking options made available both on-site and online.
