You can tackle a lot of side quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2. But what if we told you that there’s one where you have to literally tackle someone? Well, that’s just what you need to do if you want to complete the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Arisen’s Shadow quest.
How to complete Arisen’s Shadow in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The Arisen’s Shadow quest becomes active while you’re in Vernworth. While you’re undertaking some quests for Commander Brant, a vagabond might say someone’s been looking for you. If you check your quest log, it should say that you need to find out why someone is trailing your character.
That person is a man in a black cloak who usually follows you around while you’re in Vernworth’s marketplace. His movements are quite different from other NPCs in the area, because he’s the only one who seems to be keeping his distance. In fact, if you get too close, he’ll shout “You!” Also, compared to other NPCs, he’s the only one who likes to run away–everyone else is just walking around and minding their own business.
And so begins the chase in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Arisen’s Shadow quest. The moment you see the man in the black cloak, chase him down. Once you get close enough, press the grab button to tackle him. Do not use normal attacks, or the guards might seize you.
Once you tackle this fella, Bermudo, you may ask him about his identity and mission. You can then decide his fate:
- If you let him go, you’ll instantly receive 5,000 gold.
- Alternatively, you can refuse his offer and he’ll end up in the gaol. You can then talk to Commander Brant, who’ll conclude the quest by giving you 4,000 gold.
In any case, this is how you complete the Arisen’s Shadow in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Don’t forget to finish other objectives in the capital, such as Nameless Village, The Caged Magistrate, and The Stolen Throne.
