Dragon’s Dogma 2 is highly likely not going to target 30 frames per second gameplay on consoles, a recent analysis of the game’s latest trailer suggests.
The analysis conducted by OSK Gaming following the launch of another video by The Rift, is based, as already mentioned, on the latest trailer shown during last week’s State of Play and suggests how, while the game may not run at solid 60 frames per second all the time, it is most definitely not targeting 30 frames per second as is being rumored.
Given how all RE Engine-powered titles released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S come with performance modes targeting 60 frames per second, it would be weird for Dragon’s Dogma 2 to just target 30 frames per second gameplay. While CAPCOM has yet to provide additional details on this matter, at this point, it definitely looks like PC players won’t be the only ones capable of enjoying the second entry in the series at 60 FPS and possibly beyond. PC players will also be able to enjoy superior visuals thanks to ray tracing support, which was confirmed together with the system requirements last year.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on March 22nd worldwide.
