If you’ve been wanting to make the jump to an OLED TV, one of Best Buy’s early Black Friday deals is certainly worth checking out. Shoppers can order a 48-inch LG A2 OLED 4K TV for only $550, which is $750 off its $1,300 list price. This is a truly wild deal for an entry-level OLED TV. We wouldn’t be surprised to see it sell out, especially since it’s an official Black Friday deal being offered weeks before the big sales event officially begins.
The A2 is LG’s current entry-level OLED television (retails for $1,300), but an entry-level LG OLED is going to handily beat most other TVs in this price range in terms of picture quality–this is a great deal. That said, the A2 doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 support, which is a bummer for those wanting to take advantage of the advanced technology with their PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
High-end LG TVs like this one come with the Magic Remote, which includes voice controls, a rollerball for scrolling, and point-and-click motion controls–it’s a fantastic remote.
And like many other LG smart TVs, the A2 utilizes webOS, so you can easily add all of your favorite streaming apps to your TV’s home screen. You can, however, plug a streaming device, like an Apple TV or Fire Stick, into an HDMI port, if you prefer a different hub for your streaming needs. The A2 is also compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
The A2 contains a bunch of premium features, including Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision IQ, Filmmaker Mode, and an easy-to-use Game Optimizer. AI-based tech automatically tinkers with resolution and contrast to give you the best picture possible at all times. Meanwhile, AI Sound Pro up-mixes sounds–LG’s OLED TVs have pretty solid speakers.
Of course, pairing a dedicated soundbar with your new TV is still the best option. Best Buy has a number of great deals on quality soundbars as part of its early Black Friday sale, too. You can grab a Bose Bluetooth soundbar for only $200 right now. Alternatively, you can step up to the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 with Dolby Atmos for $400.
