The Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion has significantly increased publisher Bandai Namco’s earnings forecast.
As confirmed today by the Japanese publisher today, the success of the expansion of the latest game by FromSoftware and repeat sales of the base game have increased the earnings forecast
for the current fiscal year, with significant increases in sales, operating, recurring, and net profit. The expansion, in particular, is considered to have become a hit in markets worldwide, according to the publisher, while the base game is continuing to perform well.
It’s no surprise that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has been successful enough to significantly boost its publisher’s earnings forecasts. While the expansion is basically just more of the base game, the high quality of the new content makes it a must-have for all those who previously journeyed to The Lands Between, as I highlighted in my review.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expands the base game by offering more of what made it one of the best open-world games ever. It features a well-sized map dense with secrets to discover, new masterfully designed dungeons, and introduces new, fun tools to help the Tarnished tackle some of the most challenging enemies in the game’s dark and brutal world. While the lack of new gameplay mechanics may disappoint some, don’t let this deter you. Shadow of the Erdtree is every bit as good as the base game, and it is an essential purchase for all those who loved FromSoftware’s amazing action role-playing game.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One worldwide.
