The yet-to-be-announced Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remasters are going to be Xbox exclusive releases, according to rumors circulating online.
Speaking during the latest episode of the XNC Podcast, @Coalteastwood commented on the two unannounced remasters, saying he has received information from an unspecified source that confirmed that they will both be Xbox exclusive releases, which could make sense to solidify the idea that both franchises will be Microsoft exclusives following the acquisition of Bethesda. Still, without an official confirmation, we have to take this information with a huge grain of salt until these remasters are officially announced.
While the Fallout 3 and Oblivion remasters haven’t been officially announced, their existence was confirmed last month with a leak of a release schedule covering up to FY2024. According to this outdated schedule, the Oblivion remaster was supposed to launch during FY2022, so there’s the chance that work on it is already at an advanced stage, and it may get revealed sooner than the Fallout 3 remaster.
The original versions of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are now available on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. We will keep you updated on the remasters as soon as they are officially announced, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
