Hill Climb Racing studio Fingersoft has appointed Teemu Närhi as its new CEO effective from Friday, February 7th 2025.
Teemu previously served as the company’s CEO from 2014 to 2019. He has also worked as a game developer and served as a board member at Fingersoft. Former CEO Jaakko Kylmäoja has joined the board of directors.
Founded in 2012 in Oulu, Finland, Fingersoft employs nearly 100 people worldwide. The company was named in PocketGamer.biz’s Top 50 Mobile Game Makers 2024 list.
Back at the helm
“Fingersoft has had a long-standing success with the Hill Climb Racing franchise, and we are aiming to continue that story with Hill Climb Racing 3 in the future,” said CEO Teemu Närhi.
“2024 was a tough year for the whole industry and while we were also affected, we have been able to turn things around and will now focus on strengthening the company culture and delivering beloved games.”
Fingersoft founder and chairman of the board Toni Fingerroos added: “As we look ahead, I am happy to welcome Teemu Närhi back to the helm of Fingersoft. Teemu has extensive experience in both leadership and game development, and he knows this company inside out – I am confident Teemu can form a clear direction for the company for years to come”
