Former key developers on Cyberpunk 2077 and the Bioshock series have formed a new studio – ANTISTATIC Studios.
Key members of the new studio include Lukasz Ludkowski (Writers’ Room Lead – Cyberpunk 2077, Story by – Cyberpunk: Edgerunners), Kris Teper (Lead Environment Artist – BioShock series, Environment Artist – Borderlands Series), Maciej Miksztal (Co-founder – Starward Industries, Co-founder – Far From Home), Michal Koltun (Gameplay Programmer – Conan Exiles), and Gabriel Nordholm (Community Manager – Project Winter).
Alongside the announcement of the freshly-formed studio, the developers have announced the studio’s debut project called “Hornet” – a PvE cooperative tactical shooter set in a post-nuclear continent overrun by paranormal activity. It is a PvE cooperative tactical shooter fueled by emergent gameplay.
█████ operatives (players) work for a mysterious organization known as Mortfield Industries. Their mission is to search and contain any paranormal activity and █████ ████ █████ by any means necessary. They operate under adverse conditions of the post-nuclear European continent.
It is a procedurally assisted open world full of dynamic events, secrets, and encounters with multiple factions and entities. This blend of elements is intended to bring players back to the game, again and again.
And last, but not least, it will provide █████ ████ ████.
At the moment of writing, the team is planning closed tests of an early version of the game. A demo of the game will be showcased during this year’s GDC Event (March 18th through March 22nd). According to the press release, this demo will exclusively be shown behind closed doors to a select audience. “Moving forward, they plan to assemble a team for full-scale production later this year”, the press release reads.
