The collaborations apparently won’t slow down for Fortnite: Chapter 5. An Xbox ad for the hugely popular battle royale game teased Metal Gear Solid’s Snake and Family Guy’s Peter Griffin as part of next season’s Battle Pass.
Spotted by Twitter/X user ShiinaBR, the image also reveals that Chapter 5: Season 1 will be called Underground. Officially, Epic Games has only announced a Big Bang event for this Saturday, December 2, which will mark a “new beginning” for Fortnite. Afterward, Chapter 5 should launch sometime during the weekend.
Obviously, notable crossovers are nothing new for the battle royale game. Just recently, Fortnite added Eminem to the island and has previously introduced characters like Batman, Iron Man, and even Ariana Grande.
The current Fortnite OG season broke all-time player records for the game. Epic said 44.7 million people logged in to Fortnite for launch day of the OG season, with 102 million hours played. Both were new highs for Fortnite–a game that originally released in 2017.
One of those Fortnite players might have been director Zack Snyder. The Rebel Moon filmmaker recently stated that he was “playing too much Fortnite,” even staying up until 3 AM to get some action in as his favorite skin, Mr. Meeseeks.
