Looking for a something to play this weekend but don’t want to spend any cash? Microsoft has announced the latest Free Play Days games, and they are good ones.
Now until Sunday, February 7, you can download and play The Sims 4 and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 at no cost, provided you have an Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate membership. You can start your download from the Xbox.com website or by visiting the Subscriptions tab on your Xbox from the Xbox Store in the Gold area.
Once the free weekend ends, you can buy the full versions of The Sims 4 for 80% off, which brings it down to $8, or the standard edition of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for $30 instead of $40. The Sims 4’s Snowy Escape expansion pack ($16) and the Realm of Magic expansion pack ($12) are also on sale right now.
The Sims 4 was originally released in 2014 and it’s received ongoing and regular updates and expansions over the years. EA just recently announced that the game passed 33 million players in its lifetime and achieved record numbers for daily, weekly, and monthly average players in December.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, meanwhile, released in December 2020, and our Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 review said, “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 will certainly quench your thirst for wacky puzzle antics and then some.”
